Jamie is a Creative Content Designer, currently living in Swindon. He’s inspired by peoples curiosity and does his best to help people discover their creative ability by hosting local Drink & Draw nights at the local Pubs. He has a website, cuteshiba.com, dedicated to helping Artists build their online presence as well as showing and offering to join projects he is currently working on.
This project is inspired by past Artists such as Kandinsky, Picasso, Keith Haring & Basquiat. As well as more current Artists; Mr Doodle, Proko and Kim Jung Gi.
"These Artists all vary in style and practice, but I believe they all have an element of automatic illustration.
Automatic Illustration is the act of creating inherently raw work with very little thought, more action, and a flow like water. It's unconcerned with detail or accuracy of shape and form. It's pure mindless communication."
This project combines Automatic Illustration and Pareidolia from drawing thoughtless scribbles, then illustrating what can be perceived within and between the lines.
This Exhibition will feature Jamies Pareidolia project of over 200 pieces and counting... Taking a new direction into Automatic Illustration and providing a method for potentially improving ones practice, effectively.
Is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous visual stimulus (so that one sees an object, pattern or meaning where in fact there is none) common examples are perceived images of animals, faces, or objects in cloud formations.
