Mondays  here at Mams, in Swindon we pride ourselves in providing a great space & atmosphere for Artists of all abilities to draw or paint using the human figure as a starting point. Whether you’re a Professional, brushing up on your skills or a complete beginner. come along & try drawing the Figure or specialise up close with portraits. £20 per session.

At mams we provide a safe, comfortable space for you to develop figure drawing technique & skill. Try out various styles & explore different drawing & painting mediums. From time to time we invite you to draw Costumed Models, these themed sessions will be advertised on our Events page & usually held on a Thursday or Friday Evening  These are great for Corporate team building Events, Comic Book Illustrators & Artists from all avenues. Sessions cost £20 per person. Please book in advance as spaces  are limited!

Achieving an immediate recognisable likeness by way of producing a Portrait can be challenging. At Mams there are lots of opportunities to practice the Art of Portraiture. Drop into this informal lunchtime drawing session or join a life drawing class. £10 per session

Q; what materials should I bring?

A; We supply basic drawing materials, paper, pencils, charcoal etc but if you want to keep your drawings all in one place its advisable to buy a suitably sized pad of cartridge paper or similar, A2 or A3

Q; I can’t afford to pay the  course fee upfront, can I pay for each session?

A; Yes of course, A small deposit of £50 will secure your space on the course & sessions can be paid for each week after that.

Q; Is there a minimum age requirement?

A; For the Life Drawing from Nude there is a minimum age requirement of 16, with parental consent. regarding the Portraiture & Costume figure drawing please enquire in advance. as we also run Portrait lessons & Clothed Figure Drawing as part of our Kids Arts 

Q; Do you have any refreshments on-site

A; Yes we have an awesome CBD Cafe onsite serving a delicious range of Coffees/Teas & the best Hot Chocolate in town, we’re huge fans of donuts & biscuits & usually have loaded CBD Chocolate Brownie Varieties (fave is the Raspberry Chocolate Brownie!! during the evening sessions you’re welcome to BringYourOwnBooze.
